About Jenna

I was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts and lived there with my mother, father, and older brother before moving to Savannah, Georgia. Before I turned 9 years old, my family moved to Southington, Connecticut where I spent the rest of my childhood. In my time in Connecticut, I made many friends, worked many jobs, and found my first passion in high school; field hockey. By the end of my senior season, I was a three-time All-State Player, broke numerous records, and even won Player of the Year. All those accolades came with countless hours of practice and taught me that hard work does pay off. In addition to field hockey, I ran track and I hold the school record in the 4x200m relay. I was also a member of the Latin Club, and a High Honors student throughout high school

My first year of college was delayed due to Covid. I deferred from my University in South Carolina and enrolled at a local community college. It was a difficult decision, but turned into a blessing. I was a very resolute and successful student at Tunxis Community College, and the institution will always have a special place in my heart. In my two years there, I was a member of the Business Club, the Community Outreach Club, I was accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, made the Dean’s List each semester and was Vice President of Scholarship. I became a local substitute teacher, earned my S.M.A.R.T. bartending certification, and was a volunteer coach for my high school field hockey team. I graduated this past spring with my Associates of Science in Business Administration with a Certificate of Distinction.

While at Tunxis, I doubled up on my course load and only needed two classes in my final semester. I took this opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and applied to the Disney College Internship Program and was accepted for the Spring of 2022. It was a leap of faith but turned out to be the best experience of my life thus far. I was assigned to be the Attractions Hostess operating the Rock n’ Roller Coaster in Hollywood Studios. Interning for a reputable company like Disney really opened my eyes and gave me a glimpse into the business world and why they are recognized among the “World’s Most Admired Companies” on Fortune’s annual list.

While that once in a lifetime opportunity has ended, I walked away with tons of experience, amazing friends, and even better memories. This Fall, I will be attending the University of Tampa to complete my bachelor’s degree in Management with a minor in Marketing. In my free time, you can find me reading, laying on the beach, and working out.
